Grade & School: First Circle, the Illuminated Order of the Nine Circles (that’s a freshman in a normal college). Once an astrological religion, then an underground mystery cult, then a ‘secret’ society for bored aristocrats, the Illuminated Order is now a relatively normal school of magic with strange traditions, colorful history, and Johnsonian architecture. Rio is an appropriately studious eighteen-year-old student with a budding interest in the dueling clubs, but has yet to stand out of the pack in any substantial way.
