- When starting your Valley of Flowers trip from Delhi, the three options you typically have are:
- Train: Train travel is reasonably comfortable and can be cheap. Overnight trains save you time and allow you to relax while you travel. Haridwar is a great place to pick a train as it has excellent rail connections.
- Bus: Travel by bus is for those looking to choose their own timings. Volvo & UTC from Kashmere Gate should be satisfactory.
- Cab/Private Car/Taxi: The best option for family or groups, while expensive gives you complete control and comfort.
- If you are trekking alone or on a budget than train + shared jeep will be the most productive option. If you are a group of 4-6, a taxi from Delhi to Joshimath might be your more economical option.
