Battisto is an obedient, judgemental man. He lives to serve, and he dreads the thought of anyone ever knowing that he experiences those sinful desires which other people never pay a second thought. When he isn't evangelizing or drowning in his own guilt, he enjoys the simple admiration of literature, art, and a well-kept garden.

Blunt and combative, but not unkind. Battisto's personality could be described as severe, dutiful, and deeply human. He's usually a gentle person who simply tends to wear aggression as a default expression. Battisto likes to think he's good at hiding his opinions of others, but he really doesn't know how to hold his tongue. (Sometimes this isn't such a bad thing-- it can be nice to receive his rare accidental compliments.) His tenderness often comes disguised as correction, but he deeply loves those who see past his stern gaze.

- He is fluent in his world's equivalents of Italian and Latin.

- His religion is not a one-for-one to real-world Catholicism, though it is HEAVILY inspired.

- All of his black markings are from a religiously significant dying process. His natural coat is silvery, with darker gray spots.

- He's technically only half hyena! His father was an arctic wolf, but he takes after his mother in appearance.

She's quick to put him in his place, but she considers Battisto to be one of the few good men she has met in her life. Battisto deeply respects her, and even took the crosses upon his shoulders in her honor.
